Zanthoxylum Alatum
Zanthoxylum Alatum, also known as the Winged Prickly Ash, is a medicinal plant native to North America that also grows in east Asia’s rain forests, thickets, open slopes, and rock ledges at higher elevations of the sunny valleys of the Himalayas.
It is known to have medicinal properties related to digestion, circulation, immunity, and skin. Fruit extracts are commonly used for fever, inflammation, dental problems, skin disease, worms and dyspepsia because of its antiseptic, deodorant and disinfectant properties. It is also used in Ayurvedic practices in India for treatment of skin diseases.
